Because it's better together

Zermatt with friends: group offers

Clouds Clouds Clouds

Better together than alone – this what everbody thinks who comes to explore Zermatt’s mountain world in a group. And that is precisely the reason we are dedicated to devising group offers and adventures that are so much more fun in good company. Nowhere else has better conditions for this than among the peaks of the Valais Alps.

Between Matterhorn Glacier Paradise and the village of Zermatt there is more than enough space for adventure: skiing, snowboarding, hiking, climbing, biking or one of the cool funventure activities such as kickbiking or mountain carting. On top of that, numerous accommodation options and restaurants are specially prepared for groups.

The success of your group trip with the club, team, friends, classmates or work colleagues is all but guaranteed. Although with the range of attractions on offer you might not be able to agree on a programme that suits everybody. So take some time to be inspired ...

Group offers: unique and individually tailored

Every group is different. So their preferences with regard to experiences, accommodation and culinary tastes will vary just as much. That’s why the team at Zermatt Bergbahnen AG makes sure every group has an offer that is tailored to its individual requirements. And that means a group trip that will surely stay in the memory for a long time.

Experiences for clubs and sports groups

Clubs and sports groups like challenging, action-packed programmes. In winter the ski pistes in the Matterhorn Ski Paradise are ideal for joint training and competitions. On the skimovie piste (piste 65 - competition course) groups can challenge themselves in a ski race free of charge. Two cameras film the skiers from start to finish line and record the time taken.
You can even rent your own training piste, including ski passes, rail tickets abd waxing rooms at the valley station in winter and summer.

In summer, the three excursion peaks Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, Rothorn and Gornergrat and their numerous possible hiking and biking tours await you. By the way, you can take the best souvenir photos with the Matterhorn in the background from the Rothorn photopoint. Outdoor enthusiasts like to combine shooting photos with a visit to the Peak Collection or with a hike to the Oberrothorn (3’415 m).

Funventure promises unlimited fun with dirt scooter or mountain cart races at headlong speeds, whereas the Breithorn tour is another fabulous group experience. With the experienced mountain guide to the fore you’ll get your first taste of the air at four thousand metres – a great adventure for bonding.

Adventures for school classes

School classes like to be well entertained – so there’s never a dull moment. No problem! You can spend an exciting day just at Matterhorn glacier paradise. At 3'883 metres it’s Europe’s highest mountain station. At the summit there is a viewing platform, a restaurant, a glacier palace, a cinema lounge and a Peak Shop. So much entertainment in a single location.

The sunny peak at Sunnegga is always good for adventures: whether you get your kicks from kick biking or Wolli’s adventure playground at Leisee, letting off steam is a must.

Learning is really easy on school outings: a visit to the Matterhorn Museum in Zermatt or a gentle stroll on one of the hiking trails are particularly popular. It’s not every day you see marmots, chamois and edelweiss.

Ski and winter weeks are also a real highlight in the school calendar, especially when the setting is the Matterhorn Ski Paradise. Group courses can be booked at the local ski and snowboard schools. Wolli’s Beginners Park on Sunnegga or the signposted slow slopes are perfect for practice sessions. By way of a change, you can go on a snowshoe trek, for example on the easy-to-master White Magic Trail from Schwarzsee to Zermatt.

Room for everyone: restaurants for groups

It’s not always easy to be a group leader. Someone is always hungry. So, when mealtimes come around, finding a place to eat is a matter of urgency. You’re sure to find what you’re looking for at one of these restaurants – booking recommended.
