Zermatt Tourism

The tourism organization markets and represents Zermatt as a destination to the outside world and is a focus for the interests of the various service providers locally.



Burgergemeinde Zermatt is a public body which unites the old-established families of Zermatt. The Burgergemeinde runs ten mountain guesthouses in the Matterhorn Paradise area.


Cervino S.p.A.

Cervino S.p.A. runs the Italian skiing area of Cervinia/Valtourenche. During the winter season, Italy is directly connected with Zermatt, allowing winter sports enthusiasts to enjoy day trips across the border.


Gornergrat Bahn

Zermatt’s first mountain railway, the Gornergrat Bahn started operations in 1898. Initially, the cog railway ran only in the summer, but since 1927 it has been carrying passengers up to 3'089 metres above sea level all year round. In winter, the Gornergrat area is part of the Matterhorn Ski Paradise.


Marketing partners


The German carmaker Audi has been helping people get about on four wheels since 1909. Not quite as long ago as that, but still a good few years back, Audi became closely associated with winter sports, most notably as title sponsor of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup. In the Glacier Palace, visitors can marvel at a handcrafted sculpture of an Audi Quattro.



Hublot – A dream, initiated and developed by Hublot's Chairman Jean-Claude Biver with CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe, when they took control of the brand in 2004. These two men are responsible for turning the Hublot brand into a genuine success story in which the Big Bang, Classic Fusion and Grandes Complications Collection represent the symbols of a constantly evolving tradition. 



For over six decades, Millet has been equipping mountaineers looking for reliable equipment and the right clothing for their mountaineering activities.




Which winter sportsman does not know this: the sun shines, the snow crunches - and the cold makes your nose run. No problem in Zermatt, because there are numerous Kleenex handkerchief dispensers available to winter sports enthusiasts distributed throughout the area. The partnership with Kimberly-Clark GmbH exists since 2001.


Moët & Chandon

Founded in 1743 by Claude Moët,  the champagne of Moët & Chandon stands for highest quality in sparkling wine. The exquisite product can be savoured in the VIP gondola of Zermatt Bergbahnen.



Over the years, Raiffeisen has established itself as a leading retail bank and the third largest banking group in Switzerland. Raiffeisen is a long-standing partner and its logo is emblazoned on staff clothing and the back of the single journey tickets (barcodes).



Zermatt Support AG

Zermatt Support AG is a service company in the area of finance and accountancy. Zermatt Bergbahnen AG holds a 66.6% interest and Burgergemeinde Zermatt a 33.3% interest in the company.


Zermatt IT AG

Zermatt IT AG is an independent service company in the IT and telecommunications industry, but owned 100% by Zermatt Bergbahnen AG.
